Why do my Palworld settings keep resetting to default?
PalWorldSettings.ini keeps every option on one long line under a single section header. If that header line is altered — an escaped character, a line break, a stray quote — the game does not report an error, it skips the whole block and runs on defaults. It looks like the settings were ignored rather than like a broken file. Editing through the panel or the AI copilot avoids it, because the file is rewritten as a whole rather than patched.
How do I install mods on a Palworld server?
Palworld mods need the Windows build running under Wine with UE4SS; the Linux dedicated build cannot load them at all. Switch to the "Palworld UE4SS" option from Change Game — your save is kept — and then .pak mods go into Pal/Content/Paks while UE4SS Lua mods go under Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods. My Palworld server crashes with signal 11 or exit code 139. What is it?
That is a segmentation fault, and on Palworld it is almost always the container image rather than the world or the settings. Older SteamCMD images crash on current Palworld builds; the current image runs fine. It is a one-line image change, not a reinstall, and nothing in the save is lost.
How do I change Palworld server settings on GameTeam?
