Questing skyblock automation pack

What Andromeda Automation actually is

Andromeda Automation is a questing skyblock pack by Tmanfoo for Minecraft 1.18.2 on Forge. You start with nothing in the void, and the quest book walks you from your first resource generator through to full factory automation, with exploration content layered on top of the usual skyblock loop.

It is a mid-sized pack rather than a 300-mod monster, which suits the format: skyblock progression works best when the mod list is curated enough that the quest chain can actually guide you through it.

Automation as the point, not the reward

In most packs automation is what you build once you are rich. In a skyblock it is the only way to get rich at all — with no terrain to mine, every resource you will ever have comes out of a machine you built. That changes the pacing: you are setting up production lines in the first hour, not the tenth.

On a server it also means players' bases are factories, and factories tick. A group of six each running their own production chain is a meaningfully heavier server than the same six people in an open-world pack, which is worth knowing before you pick a plan.

Which Minecraft version does it run on?

Andromeda Automation runs on Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge. Its release line reached 7.x, with the last public builds landing in 2022, so the pack is stable and finished.

As with any skyblock, matching pack versions between client and server matters more than usual. A void world with mismatched world-generation mods can leave a player spawning into nothing rather than onto their island.

How much RAM does an Andromeda Automation server need?

Start at 5 GB for a group of two to four, and plan for 6 to 8 GB once five or six players have their own automated setups running around the clock. The mod list is moderate but the pack encourages exactly the kind of always-on machinery that consumes server time.

If tick times climb, look at how many production lines are running while nobody is using their output. Skyblock servers accumulate abandoned machines faster than any other format, and switching off the ones nobody needs does more than adding memory.

Starting an Andromeda Automation server on GameTeam

  • Create a Minecraft server and install the pack with its 1.18.2 Forge build.
  • Let the first start finish so the void world and starting island generate correctly.
  • Never regenerate the world after players have built — skyblock islands cannot be recovered from a reset.
  • Send everyone the same pack version.
  • Take a backup before any major automation build, and again before anyone rearranges a shared production line.

One island or one each?

Shared islands make the early game much easier because resource generation is slow for everyone at the start. The cost is that one person's experimental machine can drain the group's materials overnight. Most groups end up with individual islands and a shared storage hub, which keeps the early cooperation without the accidents.

Follow the quest book, at least at first

Skyblock gives you no environmental cues at all — there is nothing to look at and nothing to find. The quest book is the only thing telling you which machine unlocks the next tier, and groups that ignore it in favour of improvising usually stall out in the first evening.
