AQM2 takes the best of Fabric and rebalances it into one long RPG journey. It is a big pack with a real progression spine.

Another Quality Modpack 2 — AQM2 — is a Fabric pack that turns modded Minecraft into an RPG rather than a sandbox. It ships with over 40 origins to pick from, 14 classes, 300-plus biomes and dungeons, tiered tech and magic, tiered gear, and a set of bosses and mobs that give the world something to progress against.
What separates it from a kitchen-sink pack is the rebalancing. The author changed over 2,000 recipes so that mods feed into each other rather than sitting side by side — you cannot skip a tier by finding a shortcut in another mod, because the shortcut has been rewritten to require the tier you skipped.
AQM2 borrows the origins format and puts it on top of an RPG progression. Everyone picks an origin and a class, and those choices genuinely differentiate players for the whole run — not just in the first week the way a cosmetic choice would.
On a server that is the pack's biggest strength. Different origins and classes cover different content, so a group naturally splits into roles instead of four people doing the same quest chain in parallel. Coordinating picks before the first session is worth the five minutes it takes.
AQM2 has builds across a range of Minecraft versions from 1.17 through 1.19.4, all on Fabric. Its most-played line is 1.19.2, where the final v1.9.1 hotfix landed in December 2024.
With a pack that spans this many versions, picking one and sticking to it matters more than usual. Decide the exact build before anyone installs, and make sure the server and every client run that same build — "we're all on AQM2" is not specific enough to actually connect.
This is a large pack. For two to four players, 6 GB is the floor. For a normal group of five or six with spread-out bases, 8 GB is the honest number, and a busy server with more players and heavy exploration is happier at 10 GB.
The 300-plus biomes are what cost you early on. Terrain generation across that much biome variety is heavy, and the first weeks of a fresh world are noticeably harder on the server than the months after the map settles.
Because AQM2 rewrites so many recipes, general guides for the individual mods will often be wrong. The quest book reflects the pack's actual progression, and it is the only reliable source for what a given item needs. Groups that trust an old wiki page instead spend a lot of time confused.
With hundreds of biomes and dungeons, everyone wants to run in a different direction on day one. That is the heaviest possible thing to ask of a fresh server. Keeping the group roughly together for the first session or two gives your world time to settle and makes the early game far smoother.
